Muthaura admitted to hospital

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 29 – The Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet Ambassador Francis Muthaura is admitted to Nairobi Hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Mr Muthaura, 61, was admitted to the hospital after he checked himself in for a medical checkup on Sunday, according to Government Spokesman Dr Alfred Mutua.

“Ambassador Muthaura, who has been of great health and not received any major medical treatment for tens of years was not feeling very well over the weekend and visited Nairobi hospital for a major routine physical check-up on Sunday,” a statement on Dr Mutua’s website states..

“He is doing well, in good spirits and expects to be out of hospital soon,” the statement further said. President Mwai Kibaki was among senior government officials who have visited him at the hospital.
