NAIROBI, Kenya, October, 10, 2026 – The 2026 I&N Partners’ Classic golf tournament has been termed a success with winners expressing delight in their victories during last weekend’s event at Sigona Golf Club.
While Pranay Patel playing off a handicap 20 emerged as the overall winner of the tournament on Saturday after posting an impressive 44 stableford points, Ishwar Aildasani playing off a handicap 34, claimed the men’s title with 40 stableford points.
Handicap 34, Sally Ndemi walked home with the ladies’ title after recording 40 stableford points as Sigona’s Jotham Ndiangui bagged Friday’s curtain-raiser with 40 stableford points.
The two-day tournament attracted 490 player entries, with 210 golfers participating on Friday and a further 280 on Saturday.
The event brought together professional and amateur golfers, continuing a tradition established since the tournament was first held in 2024.
The competition featured prizes across several categories, including two vehicles offered as hole-in-one prizes.
Patel revealed how he had dreamt about winning the overall title after buying a new golf set and rescheduling his trip to India.
“Firstly, I would like to thank the sponsors Igeria & Ngugi Advocates for the fantastic tournament they have been sponsoring every year in October. I have been privileged to have participated in the all the last three tournaments. I remember having tried for the two grand hole-in-one prizes in the 2025 and ended up with two birdies instead,” he said.
Patel added: “I told my friends that I had been dreaming about the game all night especially the hole-in-one and had actually seen myself on the podium already accepting a grand prize. And it looks like the I&N Classic 2027 is already calling me to try once again.”
Reflecting on the win, a jubilant Patel said, “On Saturday I arrived extremely early at around 6.30am and my tee time was at 7.48am. So I took the opportunity to clean the grips of my clubs thoroughly just before the game at 7.48am.
“The clean clubs became more magical, and I even scored a birdie on my first hole on #1. All my shots were straight like arrows. I went on to score two more birdies and I really tried for the hole-in-one prizes, even got on the green on #14 and got a birdie instead.”
Just like Patel, curtain-raiser raiser champion Jotham Ndiangui couldn’t hide his joy.
“What a beautiful day to be alive, I played very good golf this weekend. From the first hole I had a par, same to the second hole. So, I knew God was with me. My appreciation to the organisers and golfing fraternity at large for making this tournament a success,” he said.
According to David Njoroge, who is the organiser and a partner at Attorneys Africa, the tournament is steadily growing into a classic event.
“We have been growing year after year, and we are all proud of how successful the third edition of the golf tournament was. The whole thing started as a small event, bringing in our clients and our colleagues in our profession as well as families to have fun. We have slowly evolved it and grown it into an annual series during the Customer Service Week giving them a chance to showcase their products and services to the members of the club, network and also enjoy the beautiful game of golf. It’s been a tough, but fun-filled two-days of golf in a very good course,” Njoroge said.
His sentiments were echoed by Habil Waswani, the newly appointed acting CEO of Kenya Airways, who has graced all the three editions.
“It’s always a wonderful time for us here, and it’s become a big attraction for everyone. Everyone talks about this, and we are happy that it is an annual event. I hope to win the tournament next year,” he said.
Simon Manambo, Director at Exp Agency equally highlighted the relationships fostered through the tournament, noting that its value extended beyond the golf course.
“The most memorable experience has been the catch-ups. I really love the catch-ups that we have in the evening with the sponsors and colleagues alike. More importantly, I think the friendship that exists and the connections are really key in this event,” Manambo said.
Martin Kiambi, a banking consultant, similarly commended the tournament’s growth and its role in bringing together clients and stakeholders from different professional backgrounds.
“This event actually is growing. It’s bigger and better every year, and the networks we are getting here are massive. We look forward to continue promoting the talents and see junior golfers come up through the ranks,” he said.
The 2026 the I&N Partners’ Classic was held as part of Igeria & Ngugi Advocates’ Customer Service Week celebrations under the theme “Strengthening Partnerships Through Service.”
