NAIROBI, Kenya, July 23 – Kenyan marketing technology firm Belva Digital, in partnership with WildMango, has received a Distinction for Innovation at the PMG AI & Tech Global Hackathon held alongside the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
The two firms were recognised for developing BelvaOS: Creative Pulse, an artificial intelligence-powered platform that analyses campaign performance, tracks cultural trends and generates data-driven creative concepts while allowing marketers to retain control over final decisions.
The hackathon brought together innovators, marketers, technologists and creative professionals from more than 30 countries to develop AI solutions aimed at improving creative production.
Belva Digital said its team built the prototype during a 24-hour competition, with the platform designed to help brands use campaign data and cultural insights to generate creative recommendations more quickly.
“Our vision has always been to build technology that empowers marketers rather than replaces them,” said Belva Digital Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer Fred Kithinzi.
“Creative Pulse bridges the gap between campaign intelligence and creative execution, enabling brands to understand why previous campaigns succeeded before creating the next one.”
Belva Digital Chief Executive Officer Serah Katusya said the recognition highlights the growing role of AI in supporting, rather than replacing, human creativity.
“AI should enhance creativity, not replace it. This recognition validates our belief that the future belongs to solutions that combine the speed of AI with the strategic judgement and nuanced creativity of humans,” she said.
The company said Creative Pulse is one of the features being developed under BelvaOS, an AI-powered marketing platform designed to help businesses plan campaigns, generate creative content, manage customer experiences, monitor performance and optimise marketing activities.
