NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 17 -The Kenya Community Development Foundation has appointed Grace Wakesho as its Executive director.
Maingi previously served as the executive director of Uraia Trust and prior to that, the Federation of Women Lawyers- Kenya (FIDA Kenya).
Commenting on her appointment, Eunice Mathu, chair of KCDF board said Maingi’s experience will propel KCDF to achieve its transformational agenda in line with its mission of promoting social justice and sustainable development of communities through partnerships.
“We are excited to bring her record of achievements as well as the experience she brings in civil society strengthening, community development, and justice issues,” she said.
Maingi is a Human Rights lawyer and advocate of the high court of Kenya with extensive work experience in the governance sector.
She has worked at the national regional, continental, and international levels in key governance civil society organizations, having a wide experience in social justice and societal transformation work.
She holds a law degree from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and a Masters’s degree with a specialization n Human Rights from the University of London, United Kingdom.
She will be joining the KCDF team and a network of partners who continue to advance and advocate a vision where communities flourish and are resilient while promoting social justice and sustainable development of these communities.
