Ex Kenya Ports Authority boss arrested

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 9 – Former Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Managing Director James Mulewa has been arrested by officers from the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC).

KACC Spokesman Nicholas Simani told Capital News that Mr Mulewa was picked up from his home in Mombasa and is currently in police custody.

He said detectives have completed investigations and were due to produce him before the Mombasa Law courts later on Friday morning, to face two corruption-related charges.

Mr Mulewa was sacked from his post early this year, after serving for slightly over one year.
