Rapper Wiz Khalifa, born Cameron Thomaz, has been officially indicted by Romanian authorities following an onstage incident in July where he was seen smoking cannabis at the Beach, Please! festival in Costinesti.
The 37-year-old artist was arrested for possession of illegal drugs after the performance, and the country’s anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, has now completed its investigation, advancing the case to court.
A statement from DIICOT, released on October 15, confirmed that Khalifa faces charges for possessing dangerous drugs “without the right, with a view to personal consumption.” During his arrest, authorities found the rapper in possession of 18.53 grams of cannabis and a cannabis cigarette. The case is now set to proceed to trial at the Constanta Court.
Following his release from custody, the “Black and Yellow” rapper issued an apology for the incident. He took to social media to share his regrets, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “Last night’s show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon—but without a big a** joint next time.”
Wiz, who shares an 11-year-old son, Sebastian, with ex-wife Amber Rose and recently welcomed a three-month-old daughter, Kaydence, with girlfriend Aimee Aguilar, has long been known for his cannabis advocacy.

In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper, he even joked that his son’s teachers expect him to attend school meetings while stoned, adding that he’s “pretty sure” his son “smells” of cannabis.
