A beer has been created using whale vomit.
A team of South Australian brewers have made a new type of alcoholic beverage called Moby Dick Ambergris Ale, which is named after the key ingredient Ambergris – a waxy substance that is commonly found in the intestine of sperm whales.
The whale vomit booze was specially crafted for a Melbourne beer festival, but there are even plans for its makers to brew a larger batch.
The pricey whale vomit is available to order in the cocktail of a New York restaurant but the beer is not yet widely available.
