South African Grammy-winning sensation Tyla, has made a heartfelt announcement on Instagram regarding the postponement of her highly anticipated world tour due to an injury.
In a candid post on Thursday, the 22-year-old star revealed her struggle with a lingering injury over the past year, which has unfortunately worsened over time. Despite seeking medical advice and consulting specialists optimistically, the pain has intensified, alongside the severity of the situation.
Expressing her profound disappointment, the artist behind chart-toppers like ‘Water’ and ‘Getting Late’ conveyed her inability to proceed with the tour, originally set to commence on March 21, including a coveted slot at Coachella in April.
Tyla shared, “In consulting with medical professionals, it’s become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety.”
However, she reassured her dedicated fanbase that despite the setback, she and her team are tirelessly working to craft an unforgettable spectacle for when she makes her triumphant return to the stage, promising a summer comeback once fully recovered.
Addressing the logistical aspect, Tyla confirmed that ticket holders for her North American tour dates will receive automatic refunds, ensuring fans’ peace of mind amidst the postponement.
Tyla’s recent release, the captivating single ‘Truth or Dare,’ has been met with acclaim, further solidifying her status as a rising star. Signed to Epic Records in 2021, she garnered international fame with the chart-topping ‘Water,’ topping both the Billboard Hot 100 and U.S. Afrobeats Songs and Hip-Hop/R&B charts.
