NAIROBI, Kenya Aug 23 – Nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda has been appointed Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the World Scout Parliamentary Union Kenya.
The appointment was announced through a gazette notice issued by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Mutinda will lead a committee comprising John Waweru Kiarie, Dorice Donya Aburi, Wilberforce Oundo Ojiambo, Pamela Njeru Njoki, Innocent Maino Mugabe, Jackson Kiplagat Mandago, Mwalimu Edward Mutahi Kaliga, Job Mukoyandali and Evalyne Chepkoech Tirop.
The committee will also include the Principal Secretaries responsible for Devolution, Youth Affairs, the National Treasury and Basic Education.
Poppins Omwenga Mivon has been appointed Secretary.
The Executive Committee of the World Scout Parliamentary Union (WSPU) Kenya is led by prominent Kenyan legislators and state officers, featuring National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula as Patron and Senate Speaker Amason Kingi as Chairperson.
The caucus unites members from the National Assembly, Senate, and County Assemblies to advance Scouting legislation and youth programs.
