NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 30 – President William Ruto has announced the launch of a nationwide consultation process aimed at charting Kenya’s development path beyond Vision 2030, describing it as the country’s most significant exercise in public participation since the promulgation of the Constitution in 2010.
In his address to the nation on Thursday, the President said the National Conversation on Kenya’s Future Beyond Vision 2030 will officially begin on August 12, bringing together citizens and institutions from across the country to develop a shared vision for Kenya’s next phase of growth.
Ruto said the initiative seeks to ensure that the country’s long-term development agenda is shaped through broad public participation and reflects the aspirations of all Kenyans.
“On Wednesday, 12th August 2026, we shall formally launch a National Conversation on Kenya’s Future Beyond Vision 2030; the most consequential exercise in national reflection and public participation since the promulgation of our Constitution in 2010,” the President said.
According to the Head of State, the dialogue will bring together every arm of government, all 47 counties and stakeholders from across society to contribute ideas on Kenya’s future.
Participants are expected to include leaders from political parties, the private sector, workers’ organisations, faith-based institutions, universities, professional associations, innovators, civil society organisations and the creative industry.
