NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 5 – Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has been put on his defence in a hate speech case he is facing in a Nairobi court.

Kuria is accused of posting hateful and inciting messages on his Facebook account in 2014.

The Law Society of Kenya had complained that Kuria had uploaded a series of inciting messages targeting a particular community.

National Cohesion and Integration Commission recommended his prosecution after investigations.

The court has ruled that the prosecution has produced enough evidence that showed that there is a case which Kuria must defend himself against on Friday when he is expected to take a stand.

Kuria who is out on bond has denied the allegations.
