The song is a confident anthem, with Ayra Starr proclaiming herself as the “bad gyal” who is popping and the center of attention. The chorus repeatedly asks, “Who’s that gyal? Guess you never heard of me, I’m popping out like confetti.”
Rema’s verse reinforces this theme, describing the subject as a “Gyal champion, graceful echelon” who has no competition and is “the baddie.”
The production, handled by Ragee and The Elements, was praised for its energetic sound, with some noting a distinct dancehall influence reminiscent of the 2000s, alongside a “triumphant bassline” and “luscious R&B tonality.”
