NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 19 – Maseno University has been closed indefinitely due to what the institution terms as the prevailing political situation in the country.
In a notice signed by Vice Chancellor Julius Nyabundi, Students are required to vacate the University premises by 8.00am On Thursday morning.
“Due to the prevailing circumstances, the University is hereby closed indefinitely. Students are required to vacate the University premises latest by Thursday 19th October 2017 at 8.00am and proceed to participate in the election process,” he stated.
Several other universities including Nairobi were closed last month after persistent riots.
