NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 12 – Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga has directed Kenyans saving for affordable houses on the Boma Yangu Website use the 222222 paybill number.
According to Hinga, they should then input the account name BOMA followed by their ID number.
His statement comes even as President William Ruto stated that Mama Mboga and Boda Boda traders have an opportunity to buy affordable houses from as low as Sh800,000 by saving through the Boma Yangu portal.
The Head of State asked Kenyans to dial *832# on their phones and register on Boma Yangu portal.
Upon registration, a member is allocated a unique identification number, which they use to save and qualify to own homes of their choice.
He said Kenyans of all walks of life are eligible provided they contribute and can pay daily or at their pleasure.
