NAIROBI, Kenya, June 24 – Former Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Chairperson Flora Mutahi has been appointed a non-executive director at Ecobank Kenya, strengthening the lender’s board with a seasoned private sector leader.
Mutahi boasts more than three decades of experience in manufacturing, entrepreneurship and corporate governance across Africa. She is the founder and chief executive of Melvin Marsh International, a regional tea and beverage company.
She previously served as KEPSA chairperson and made history as the first woman to chair the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), where she championed private sector growth and industrial development.
Ecobank Kenya Interim Chairman Yesse Oenga said Mutahi’s appointment comes at a time when the bank is pursuing growth and transformation initiatives.
“Flora brings a rare combination of entrepreneurial excellence, strategic insight, and governance expertise. Her experience in building resilient businesses and shaping private sector policy will add tremendous value to the Board as we continue to drive our next phase of growth and transformation,” he said.
Mutahi said she looks forward to supporting the bank’s strategic objectives and expanding its impact in the market.
