NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 14 – EldoHub, a leading technology and innovation hub based in Eldoret, has won four major accolades at the AfriLabs Annual Awards 2025, held at the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON).
Themed “Africa’s Innovation Future: Policy, Partnerships & Progress,” the AfriLabs Annual Gathering brought together top innovation leaders, policymakers, investors, and ecosystem builders from across the continent to celebrate Africa’s digital transformation journey.
EldoHub was recognized in four categories: Regional Hub of the Year – Eastern Africa, Most Collaborative Hub, Excellence in Gender Inclusion, and Community Engagement Champion.
The awards celebrate innovation hubs that promote inclusion, collaboration, and technological advancement across Africa. Winners were selected through ecosystem and public voting, followed by jury evaluation based on impact, partnerships, and contributions to the innovation landscape.
EldoHub CEO and Founder, Magdaline Chepkemoi, hailed the recognition as a collective triumph for innovators and entrepreneurs nurtured by the hub.
“This recognition is not just a victory for EldoHub — it’s a triumph for every young innovator, woman, and entrepreneur who has walked through our doors. It affirms that purposeful collaboration, investment in people, and championing inclusion can transform communities and shape Africa’s digital future,” she said.
Chepkemoi added that the awards reaffirm EldoHub’s commitment to empowering youth and women through digital skills training, entrepreneurship support, and access to markets and investment.
Since its founding in 2016, EldoHub has trained over 25,000 youth and women across Kenya and East Africa through initiatives such as Tech Academy, SasaKazi platform, Miliki Accelerator, and TechLab Mashinani.
“We share this achievement with our partners, supporters, and the broader innovation community. Together, we demonstrate that transformative change is achievable when communities, governments, and innovators collaborate,” she added.
EldoHub’s recognition highlights its leadership in advancing digital transformation, gender inclusion, and regional collaboration — core values that continue to drive its mission to empower communities through technology and innovation.
