NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 26 – State House has narrowed down the date of United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron’s expected arrival in Kenya to June.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Spokesman Manoah Esipisu gave the more concise time of arrival than the previous, “early 2016,” on Tuesday.

“The visit will be the culmination of the resetting of relations between Kenya and the United Kingdom, which Prime Minister Cameron called for when he met President Kenyatta on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York last September,” he said.

He also announced that President Park Geun-hye of the Republic of South Korea, will visit the country –at President Uhuru Kenyatta’s invitation — about a month prior. “South Korea is a powerhouse in the tech and innovation area and we are looking to technology transfer.”

Esipisu announced that Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will however not be visiting the country next week, as planned, citing a conflict in his diary.

President Kenyatta will himself be travelling to Israel and France in February and March respectively, to hold counter-terrorism talks.

Kenya witnessed a number of high profile visits in 2015 including that of US President Barack Obama and Pope Francis.
