ZURICH, Switzerland, May 21 – The global Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) community is set to converge in Zurich on June 3, 2025, for the World Computer Summit, marking the protocol’s fourth anniversary and exploring how decentralized technologies like AI, Web3, and the Self-Writing Internet are reshaping the digital landscape.
Held under the theme “Reimagining the Internet for a Decentralized World,” the event will highlight the evolution of the World Computer — a sovereign, tamper-proof global computing platform — pioneered by Dominic Williams.
Since its 2021 launch, ICP has grown into a vibrant ecosystem with over 500 decentralized projects, from DeFi platforms and NFTs to social media tools and real-world asset tokenization. With ICP hubs active worldwide, Africa will also be well represented at the summit.
The summit features two key stages:
- World Computer Stage: Visionary talks and debates on the social and philosophical impact of decentralization.
- Ecosystem Stage: Demos, pitches, and presentations from startups and developers building on ICP.
Key highlights include:
