Bandari lost the return tie 2-1 on Sunday evening, but will go on as aggregate winners having beaten the North Africans 2-0 in the first leg played in Nairobi a fortnight ago.

Wadri and keeper Michael Wanyika will leave Tunisia as heroes, Wadri for scoring the winner while Wanyika saved a 60th minute penalty with the home side leading 2-0 after Ricardo Alves Perreira’s quick fire brace in the fifth and 22nd minute.

Kenya will now have two representatives in the play-off round of the continent’s second tier competition after league champions Gor Mahia dropped a level down after losing 6-1 on aggregate to Algeria’s USM Alger in the first round of the Champions League.
