NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 8 – President William Ruto has appointed Charles Kamau Karondo as the new Chairperson of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) Board for a three-year term.
Karondo takes over from Mary Wambui Mungai, whose appointment has been revoked.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1)(a) of the Kenya Information and Communications Act, as read together with section 51(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act, I appoint Charles Kamau Karondo to be the non-executive Chairperson of the CA Board for a period of three years with effect from 8th August 2025,” Ruto stated in a Gazette notice.
Mungai was appointed CA chair in 2022, replacing Gilbert Kibe.
