MOMBASA, Kenya, Sept 2 – Mombasa’s youth painted the town bright this weekend as the PUBG Mobile Color Festival brought together gamers, artists, and music lovers in a spectacle of energy and creativity.
The highlight of the day was the “Mega Splash,” where bursts of paint and music filled the air, turning the venue into a carnival of color. Crowds danced, cheered, and captured the moment on camera, blending gaming culture with a street-festival atmosphere rarely seen in Kenya.
The event also looked ahead to the PUBG Mobile Africa Cup (PMAC) Finals, set for September 13–14 in Nairobi, where 16 of the continent’s best teams will battle for the title in front of live audiences. Kenyan artists, including Fathermoh, are lined up to perform at the showdown.
For many, the festival was more than just an entertainment event — it marked how gaming is moving from bedrooms and screens to large public stages, creating new spaces for young people to connect through competition, music, and culture.
