What an adventure this trip was!
From cooking with the chef using fresh vegetables from the kitchen garden, to learning how to start a fire (the Maasai version), and having sundowners on the hills of the Mara while watching the sunset over the plains. What a memorable stay!
Sharon Mundia and Susan Wong got to visit the game reserve for a weekend of exploring thanks to Fairmont Mara and AirKenya Express.
Surrounded by the Mara River (which also happened to be home to a pod of hippos) the hotel provides comfort and luxury and an unforgettable experience to its guests. There’s really nothing like being woken up in the morning by the sound of hippos splashing around in the water just outside your tent!
