Tricia’s Naturals Hair, Health & Beauty Festival brought to you by the newest natural hair care line Ashanti Q will be going down on Saturday, November 30th 2019 at Kilimani Primary school 9 am to 6 pm.
Having natural hair and caring for natural hair is a lifestyle that many Kenyan women, as well as men, are embracing these days.
Specific products, nutrition and water are essential to healthy natural hair. The event is set to give you all the tips and tricks to care for your hair, from styling to length retention. Whether your hair is in an afro, tapered cut, dreadlocks or even braided, this event everything a naturalista needs.
Here are the five reasons you need to attend the Tricia Naturals Festival this Saturday
1. Beautiful people
The most beautiful people in the world will be there! Nairobi’s Naturalistas will all come to slay with their Afro-punk hairstyles, funky braids, Luminous Locs and Sisterlocs. We already know they will look amazing because we’ve seen their #africansunshine pictures on East Africa’s largest natural hair Facebook community – Tricia’s Naturals.
2. Fun times
It’s a chance to get your little ones to let loose, draw, create cool crafts, release all their pent up energy and get tired enough to sleep for the whole weekend. Maker-space, trampoline, bouncing castles and a huge field to run around are just a few items on the kiddos extensive to-do list that day. What a great way to kickstart their holiday – kids under 12 enter absolutely FREE!!! Teenagers are also invited to learn vital skills in several free workshops open to their age bracket.
3. Food
You’ll get to enjoy amazing food from world-famous chefs. This is not an exaggeration – Mr Snack himself, celebrity Chef @FoodsbyRicky will be there with his team grilling up delicacies that he perfected in his Boston kitchen that put Kenyan dishes squarely on the North American map. Add in Chef Biggie, former Head Sous Chef for Intercontinental hotel group who will be manning the desserts with his lovely wife Kobbi.
4. Workout
It’s a good excuse to miss your morning workout. No, no – you won’t be slacking! Instead of heading to your usual boring sweaty gym, come burn some calories on the beautiful outdoors field with the exuberant team from Zumba by Drew. Andrew and his fellow Instructors will start off our Saturday morning by leading us in the Zumba dance revolution! All those calories you burn will be a perfect excuse to indulge in the variety of cuisines and desserts at our festival (including Mexican and Arab dishes!) If you miss the morning Zumba, come prepared to dance to the infectious beats of International DeeJay Coco-Em.
5. Free Glam
Come get glammed for free. Even if you do sweat out your Afro, your crown will be sorted right there on the ground. You’ll get to experience Africa’s top brands to fit all your hair, makeup and skincare needs. Plus you can get your hair styled professionally at our partners’ free hair styling sections. Come experience a unique hair product line fit for royalty. Introducing ASHANTI-Q, Kenya’s first regal product line designed exclusively for Naturalistas!
BONUS: You’ll get to experience this entire family celebration and party atmosphere while making a contribution to a higher cause.
Our official #tnfest charity partner is Heels4pads initiative, a team of 3 incredible young women who devote their spare time and energy to helping end period poverty in Kenya. You can donate your gently used heels and/or sanitary supplies at their tent to make a difference in a schoolgirl’s life.
Not to mention the 12, yes 12 FREE workshops and masterclasses run by the best of the best in wellness, nutrition, financial mastery, hair styling and pro makeup. These FREE workshops are open to anyone. If you are a male or female seeking Trichologist advice to combat Hairloss; a young lady or teen wanting to learn self-defence and self-care; a couple seeking natural tips for fertility and hormone balancing…or moms and dads curious about optimizing their nutrition for a healthy pregnancy and family.
So many reasons to end your family’s November with a bang.
