NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 16 – More than 420studentsat Alliance Girls’ High School in Kiambu County are set to enjoy better learning conditions after Kenya Pipeline Company invested KES 5 million, through it’s Foundation, towards the construction of a science complex.
This noble initiative is in partnership with the Oil Marketing Companies, and is geared towards the construction of 8 science laboratories. Construction of this new complex will enable them to study in world class facilities.

We believe that an investment in knowledge pays the best interest. Through this investment, we seek to promote inclusive learning by addressing community needs and working with partners to empower parents and learners,” said Irene Wachira, Trustee, KPC Foundation.
“We are grateful for our partners, Kenya Pipeline Foundation, and the Oil Marketing Companies for generously answering to our call. We are constructing a state-of-the-art science complex that will not only serve our students but scholars from across the Country,” said Mrs. Jedidah Mwangi, Chief Principal, Alliance Girls’ High School.
In Kiambu County, the Foundation has also invested in the construction of an Ablution block worth Kshs. 2.5Million at Uthiru Primary School. It has also invested in the construction of an administration block and renovation of classrooms worth Kshs. 2.5Million at Nachu Primary School.
Since its inception in 2016, KPC Foundation has spent over Kshs. 172 million on the delivery of education services through infrastructure and ancillary equipment with the construction of 8 laboratories in schools across the counties.
The Foundation is involved in several education initiatives including a flagship scholarship programme dubbed INUKA which is designed to empower learners with disabilities. The programme has benefited over 650 needy and disabled children from across the 47 counties in Kenya.
Every year, it has facilitated the adoption of 94 students at a spend of over Kshs. 60 million which covers school fees, basic needs, mentoring, psychosocial support, and leadership development. In Kiambu County, 14 students have benefited from the scholarship programme.
