NAIROBI, Kenya Jul 1 – Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has emerged as the top-performing Member of Parliament in the latest Infotrak survey, scoring an impressive 80 percent approval rating.
The survey released by Infotrak ranked lawmakers based on public perception of their performance, visibility, development record, and representation of constituents.
Kabuchai MP Joseph Kalasinga came in second with 78 percent, while Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Taveta MP John Bwire tied in third place with 76 percent each.
Several legislators tied at 73 percent, including Samburu West MP Josephine Lesuuda, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek, Keiyo South MP Gideon Kimaiyo Kipsiele Koech, Belgut MP Nelson Koech, and Muthureiwini MP Kaguchia Gichohi.
Others featured among the top-performing MPs include Aldai MP Marianne Kitany, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, Samburu East MP Jackson Lekumontare, Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako, Mbooni MP Erastus Kivasu Nzioka, Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi, and Awendo MP Walter Owino, who all scored between 70 and 72 percent.
