Ghanaian trade body targets marketing to enhance trade with Kenya

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 9 – The Ghana Export Promotion Authority is hosting mall activations in Kenya to boost trade and showcase Ghanaian culture.

This comes at a time when the Ghana Trade House, which connects Ghanaian firms with the East African market, is celebrating its one year anniversary in the country.

Recent activations have taken place at Sarit Mall in Nairobi and Nyali Mall in Mombasa, with two ongoing at Adlife Mall in Kilimani.

“As GEPA’ we are delighted that we have been able to implement various projects such as The Youth in Export Programme, the supply capacity enhancement where we have provided free coconut seedlings and pineapple suckers to farmers across Ghana to increase production of these key agricultural products for processing to be exported to the international markets,” Ghana Export Promotion Authority Deputy CEO Samuel Dentu said.

“We have also assisted Ghanaian exporters in several African and international market fairs. We are, therefore, thrilled to be here in Kenya promoting the Ghana Trade House. We aim to bring the Ghanaian market closer to East Africa in the spirit and letter of the AfCFTA.”

Additional events include a Ghanaian Food Bazaar at Sarit Mall on October 11, 2024, and a client dinner on October 12, 2024, with high-level officials from the Kenyan government and private sector expexted to attend.
