Dec 27 not a holiday in Kenya, govt says

NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 23 – The government has announced that Monday is not a public holiday.

Government Spokesman Dr Alfred Mutua said on Thursday that December 27th will be a normal working day, despite Boxing Day falling on a Sunday.

"Due to the many holidays this year, Monday, December 27th, 2010, is a normal working day and is NOT a public holiday," said a brief statement from Dr Mutua.
