NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 15 – Former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has been endorsed by the Democratic Alliance Party of Kenya (DAP-K) as its leader adn presidential candidate in 2027.
This followed a resolution by the party’s National Executive Council (NEC)/ Parliamentary Group meeting held Wednesday.
During the meeting, Wafula Wamunyinyi stepped down as the party leader to deputize Wamalwa.
“The re-organization and re-positioning of DAP-K takes effect immediately and the same has been communicated to the Registrar of Political Parties,” DAP-K stated in its resolutions.
“The party remains a part of Azimio One Kenya political party as resolved by the formative NDC on 14/12/2021and will work with all like minded parties in the said coalition in pursuit of a better multiparty environment in Kenya.”
