A woman was stopped at Munich airport after her husband’s bones were found in her suitcase.
Police interrogated the 74-year-old woman after airport officials found the human remains in her luggage.
Investigations revealed that the unnamed lady was trying to fly the bones of her late husband from her home in Greece so they could be laid to rest in their native Armenia.
A doctor and a public prosecutor were called in for further questioning of the woman, who was accompanied on the flight by her 52-year-old daughter.
Documents explained how her husband had passed away in 2008 and had been buried near their home in Greece. The duo were allowed to continue on their journey with the bones after the authorities ruled that the transfer of human remains was lawful.
