Victoria Kimani Drops 4th Album ‘Spirit Animal,’ Featuring Yemi Alade And Hart The Band

Singer Victoria Kimani has dropped her 4th studio album, Spirit Animal.

The album’s title is inspired by her spirit animal as she says, a zebra.

The 16-track album features collaborations from an array of top African musicians among them Kenya’s top music group Hart the Band, Nigeria’s Yemi Alade and Kidi among other major names.

It also recruits production from top-notch music producers like Drey Beatz, Street Beatz and Echo the guru.

The album photography is by renowed Kenyan photographer, Tintseh. “I hope it makes you feel as bad ass, beautiful & resilient as it makes me feel. Run it up for me and let me know your favs, “ says Kimani of the album.

The China Love singer has been teasing the new project for weeks, donning animal-print regalia especially during her New York Fashion Week Escapades.

Her previous three albums are last year’s Afreaka-a collaborative effort with American Grammy-nominated producer First, Afropolitan and Safari.

Kimani was signed on to Nigeria’s chocolate City label for 5 years, after which she left to pursue her independent artiste dreams.
