Music Copyright Society Of Kenya CEO Ezekiel Mutua has called out those who are unsubscribing from Sauti Sol’s YouTube channel.
As reported by The Sauce, the popular Afro pop band has lost more than 2000 subscribers in the last couple of days as their beef with political outfit Azimio ensues.
Mutua posted a new message to the defectors via his twitter page saying the action of subscribing is juvenile and urged them to hit the subscribe button again. He also hailed Sauti Sol as one of the greatest bands in Kenya’s history.
“Unsubscribing from @sautisol YouTube is a juvenile reaction. Rudini haraka,” posted Mutua.
“We may have differences but we must not be blinded by politics to the point of hate. Let’s deal with the issues at hand in a civil manner,” urged the MCSK head.
Following the exodus, Sauti Sol lead singer Bien Aime Baraza took to social media to call out the former subbies saying “Time will reveal. Wale wanashuka washuke saa hii. Stage yao imefika.”
As previously reported by The Sauce, Sauti Sol and the Raila Odinga led Azimio have been at logger heads since the running mate announcement rally on Monday (16.05.2022) where they played Sauti Sol’s hit ‘Extravaganza’. The award winning band came put guns blazing, accused the coalition of copyright infringement and threatened to sue.
