Twitter pundit who goes by the handle @KabarakFinest01 has put Kenya’s artists on blast.
The controversial pundit has given Nyashinski, Wyre, Nonini and even Jua Cali a proper dress down. Highlighting the stagnant local music industry, KabarakFinest01 had lots to say about the industry’s heavyweight approach to growing the industry. He went on to point out poor mentorship, the lacking talent development as well as understanding the music industry and that continues to stifle the industry. There are a few lessons that musicians can take home from this very public tongue-lashing. Check out the series of posts by KabarakFinest
Okay Kenyan musicians,
We love (some of) you. We love the effort (some of) you are putting in to inject some much-needed quality into the art. We love that finally the industry has started paying bills and we're no longer in the era where Nyashinski,@RealShinski @WyreDaLoveChild— Eleanor (@EleanorLouiise) November 20, 2018
He just started his solo music career last year_ yet already boasts of more YouTube subscribers than any Kenyan musician including Sautisol.
Actually, he has more subscribers than Octopizzo, Khaligaph Jones, King Kaka, Naiboi and Fena Gitu COMBINED.

Kenya's best rapper then, had to quit music to go drive trucks in the US.
But don't for a moment pretend that any of you can hold a candle to Wasafi Crew. Yet.
See that small Mbosso boy, he of "Jibebe" and "Hodari" fame? @juacaliGenge @Noninimgenge— Eleanor (@EleanorLouiise) November 20, 2018
Those big names are hardly mentoring anyone.
Octopizzo, for instance, would rather feature nondescript croaking white musicians on his songs than a genuinely talented upcoming Kenyan artist.
Then you now want us to boycott the Wasafi concert to "support out own"? Ebu stop jokes.— Eleanor (@EleanorLouiise) November 20, 2018
Simply put, the Tanzania music industry is currently planets ahead of ours and Wasafi Crew rightly deserve to headline a New Years Eve concert in Kenya. And charge top top dollar for it.

Yemi Alade or Skales or Sarkodie for a collab and they immediately replied, "Sure good sir, right away."
Now tell me, who in Kenya has done or is doing what that boy from Tandale has done and continues to do in TZ?— Eleanor (@EleanorLouiise) November 20, 2018
Most importantly though, they get to use his name. Jibebe is actually Diamond's song but know what he did? He had the video uploaded on Mbosso's channel to spur its (and his) growth.
You also surely don't imagine Harmonize woke up one morning and decided to randomly call— Eleanor (@EleanorLouiise) November 20, 2018
All employed by WCB). He also personally flies them out of the country to shoot videos. They even have WCB dancers on standby there so no need to stress over Sarakasi overcharging you for a few dancers or having to resort to ratchet campus girls to add a feminine touch.
