Travis Scott Adds Characteristic Auto-Tuned Tinge To Tyla’s ‘Water’ In New Remix

Speculation as to who South African pop star Tyla would feature in a teased to her global smash ‘Water’ had gone on for weeks on end, as the world roots her growing career on.

Her exponentially increasing fanbase had prospective preferred guests they were hellbent on rather featuring on a remix to the song, as The Sauce pointed in an earlier piece. Except, they were bound to be collectively surprised that the featured artiste would be none other than Travis Scott.

The remix sees Travis experiment with a more mellow, stripped down essence that surprisingly complements Tyla’s vocals.

The South African star and Houston native’s remix made its live debut at the GQ Men of the Year afterparty, where the two musicians hung out in tow.

“I always wanted to be the biggest pop star in general. I didn’t want to be the biggest African pop star. I just want to be the biggest pop star that was born and raised in Africa. And the fact that I’m already getting a good response from the world [means] I’m one step closer to that dream,” the singer is quoted as telling Billboard in an earlier interview.

Water’s perpetual ascent on the Billboard Hot 100 is as good as still on – the song currently sits at #18 on the chart.
