Nigerian Afrobeats star, Tiwa Savage has announced she is taking a hiatus from music amid health concerns.
In a recent statement posted on her social media pages, the mother of one announced that she has postponed her much-anticipated Wembley Arena concert due to an illness.

Savage disclosed that she has been battling a “virus” and was placed on “vocal rest” for the next few months.
“To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months,” she wrote in the statement.
The ‘Somebody’s Son’ crooner added that she was “heartbroken and devastated” but needed to take the rest to “save what’s left” of her voice.
“I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once. I’m fully healed,” she affirmed.
The singer was slated to perform at the “Tiwa Savage and Friends” show which was set to be held on the 26th of November, making her the first female Afrobeats artiste to headline an event at the 13,000-capacity arena.
The world renowned star recently gave a stellar performance at the Walker Town concert held in Nairobi last month.
