The latest Q3 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report reveals over 334,000 videos were removed in Kenya for guideline violations, with 88.9% taken down before viewing and 93% within 24 hours.
TikTok’s proactive moderation addressed key policy areas: combating misinformation with 99.7% of violating videos removed before reports, protecting mental health with 99.9% of harmful content eliminated early, safeguarding youth with 99.7% of violations addressed before views, and tackling inappropriate content with 99.5% removed promptly. These efforts align with TikTok’s broader mission to promote responsible content creation and maintain a trustworthy online community.
Globally, over 147 million videos were taken down, 118 million detected via automation, achieving a 98.2% proactive detection rate. TikTok’s localized enforcement in Kenya highlights its commitment to user safety through advanced technology, dedicated teams, and local partnerships, fostering a secure and engaging digital environment.
