This is why King Kaka is Kenya’s king of entertainment

Kenyan rapper King Kaka has been making major moves that solidifies his position as Kenya’s biggest entertainment export.

According to The Sauce, King Kaka who was once a rabbit seller and now is a UNICEF Kenya advocate recently took to Instagram to share his special moment at Cannes, France making him the first Kenyan musician to step foot on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet in 72 years where he even got to meet American singer Selena Gomez.

Last week the hitmaker announced that he has a movie coming up featuring Selena Gomez and East African Remy Martin Brand Activator Michael Bonnamy.

Last year, the rapper whose real name is Kennedy Ombima, as reported by The Sauce, released a new album titled Eastlando Royalty which featured hits like ‘East Kwa Mabeast’, ‘Poison’ and ‘Dundaing’ which was a chart-topper at the end of 2018.

During his tour of the USA, he appeared at Hot 97, a popular American radio station, making him the first Kenyan and East African on the station.

In September 2018, King Kaka who was formerly known as Rabbit or Kaka Sungura made history when he was unveiled as the brand ambassador for French fine cognac champagne brand Remy Martin as part of the global campaign ‘One Life. Live Them’, reported The Sauce.

His countrywide Sanitary Bank Initiative dubbed ‘Bank on Me’ has earned him a speaking opportunity at the 2018 Goalkeepers Conference in New York by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Also off the 2018 album, he collaborated with the legendary American actor and rapper Tracy Morgan in the single titled ‘Royalty’. The song has garnered over 130,000 views on YouTube.

The father of three earlier this year also released a collaboration with top Jamaican star Romain Virgo dubbed ‘One and Only’. In April 2019 as reported by The Sauce, he released his most anticipated work with American Rapper Cassidy in ‘Far Away’.
