NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 15 – The Real Housewives of Nairobi has broken the Showmax streaming record, making its first episodes the most watched in Kenya in 2023.
Showmax launched the first season of the TV series back in February last year.
Apart from breaking the record, the TV series also joined the Single Kiasi Series, making it to the top ten of the most watched local TV shows in Kenya.
The African streamer launched the Single Kiasi series back in January 2023.
“In Kenya alone, the African Streamer launched a record Seven original titles in 2023, kicking off with single Kiasi S2 in January, The Real Housewives of Nairobi S1 in February,” Showmax stated.
Other local series that made it to the top ten list on the local level include Crime and Justice, Faithless, Igiza, Kina, Kyallo Kulture, Njoro Wa Uba, Pepeta, and the Second Family.
On the international level, some big hits also made it to the top ten, which include Bel Air, Black Light, Game of Thrones: Run the World, Shotgun Wedding, Succession, The Cleanin Lady,The Last of Us, The Rookie, and Wrath of Man.
