After a week of allegations and controversy following a surfaced video that pointed to allegations of racial bias, The Alchemist have issued yet another statement that this time doubles back on the multiple reports of supposed profiling.
The popular city establishment just issued a statement, saying that they have had a sit-down with Emmanuel, the individual who took and posted the video in question. “We met with Emmanuel and his advocate to discuss the incident on May 20th. He has acknowledged that the clip shared was misleading to the public and was not representative of what happened that evening and what we stand for,” Reads the statement.
The city club further adds that they will not be pressing charges against Emmanuel, in as much as the allegations affected their business and regular operations. “We believe that everyone deserves a chance to grow and learn from their experiences. Moving forward requires to build together not tear things down. For those of you that have been following the case, let’s all please remember to reserve judgement until all the facts are given. Social media is a powerful tool, remember to treat it as such. We will be opening our doors again today and looking forward to welcoming you all,” Concludes the statement.

Through his lawyer, Emmanuel admits that his video was misleading to the public, expressing remorse for the outcome it bore, while praising The Alchemist because “The professionalism with which they have handled the issue has been phenomenal to say the least.”
The video in question made its way to Twitter on Sunday May 29, eliciting thousands of mixed reactions from KOT.
