Tecno’s premium sub-brand, Phantom, launched a new flagship smartphone, the Phantom V Fold adding to the Phantom X2 Series during Tecno’s debut appearance at MWC Barcelona 2023.
Phantom V Fold is the world’s first left-right foldable smartphone to be powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000+ processor. The device will level up the premium smart foldable experience with a series of self-developed technologies, key collaborations, and innovative design features.
The phone is equipped with an ultra-clear 5-lens photography system, including a 50MP main camera with a super light-sensitive custom sensor, a further two rear lenses, as well as two front lenses. The system creates an exciting photography experience made possible by the phone’s folding design, from enhanced rear-camera selfies to more immersive large-screen video calling.
The dual-SIM, dual 5G processor customized especially for the device is produced by an advanced TSMC 4nm manufacturing process and delivers outstandingly smooth foldable device performance with low power consumption.
In January, the company launched the Phantom X2 series comprising of the Phantom X2 Pro 5G and Phantom X2. The highlight of the Phantom X2 Pro 5G’s four exceptional cameras is the innovative retractable portrait lens, a technological breakthrough that lowers the threshold for “studio-like” portrait photography.
The Phantom X2 Pro 5G (AD8) and Phantom X2 5G (AD 9), are available for purchase from the Tecno official stores on Jumia, Safaricom PLC retail outlets, Tecno website, and Tecno retail stores.
The Recommended Retail Price for Phantom X2-Kes is 67,999 and for Phantom X2 Pro-Kes 82,999.
Phantom V Fold (AD10) will officially be launched in Kenya at the end of March 2023.
