A teacher in Louisiana has been sentenced to 41 years in prison for serving cupcakes laced with her husband’s semen to her students.
Cynthia Perkins, 46, was convicted with second-degree rape, production of child porn and mingling wih harmful substances, which she all plead guilty with in Livingston, Louisiana. She agreed to a plea deal that saw her testify against her husband, Dennis Perkins, and got 68 other charges against her dismissed.
The New York Post reports that Perkins has no possibility of parole for 40 years. Authorities nubbed Perkins after receiving a tip off from the National Centre of Missing and Exploited Children that showed the now divorced couple lying next to a naked child.
The couple was first arrested in October 2019 after police stated they were facing more than 150 charges which included sexually abusing a child together. Dennis was immediately fired from his position as sheriff’s lieutenant and Cynthia resigned as a teacher at Westside Junior High School. She also filed for divorce shortly after while adding that Dennis manipulated her into committing the crimes.
Dennis will face trial in May on 150 criminal charges.
