The Talanta Hela logo design competition, a mastermind of CS for Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports, crowned its winners at the Kenya Cultural Centre on Tuesday, May 9.
The ministry announced the tiff almost three months ago, inviting designers to submit their best work, with a promise of KES 300, 000 for the winner, and KES 200, 000 and KES 100, 000 for the first and second runners up respectively.

Job Ogweno carried the day and snagged the top cheque, while James Mundia and Sydney Maranga followed closely. “The Ministry is proud to launch this logo which we will use as a signature in our journey of identifying, developing, nurturing and monetizing talents,” Said Jonathan Mueke, Principal Secretary State Department of Sports.
Ogweno’s winning logo was displayed on the big screen during the event, as attendees that included the media and mostly government officials applauded.

Namwamba reiterated that the initiative would work in close promise proximity with the school ecosystem to identify local talent and see to it that creatives are remunerated commensurate to their input.
