Viral rapper Stivo Simple Boy has trademarked his popular phrase ‘Freshi Barida.’

The popular artiste’s MIB management have made the move after the catchy phrase gained increasing popularity and started appearing in many people’s daily chatter just a few weeks after it surfaced. He would even go as far as recording a song by the same title and that has since garnered over 300, 000 after being released a few weeks ago.
Simple Boy has also curated merchandise with ‘Freshi Barida’ christened on it, in his quest to profit from it. “Any use of the slogan in advertisements or promotion of products, events or for any other commercial purpose without notice will lead to legal charges as per the authority agreement,” Issued the management, further saying the musician now legally owns the exclusive rights to the slogan. Simple Boy, however, said can continue to use it.
Simple Boy first publicly used the slogan while talking about the forthcoming Kenyan general elections.
