Music producer and deejay Shaq Deff has a new release ‘Nyeusi.’ The collaborative project was composed, arranged, mixed and mastered by Shaq Deff and his compadre So Fresh. The afro-house beat with a distinctly Kenyan sound. Heavy on the percussion, it leans in on the vocals offered by Marianne Mandy who gives the track an unexpected twist singing in Dhuluo. With tribal calls in the background, the track gives a complete Wakanda vibe. Speaking about the collaboration, Mandy commented on YouTube, “Always a pleasure working with you Shaq Deff. You took me out of a comfort zone and challenged my creativity and I enjoyed every minute of it…Your sound is revolutionary and it is exactly what this industry needs.” With such high praise from Marriane, Shaq Deff has lots of support from some of Kenya’s upcoming talent.
