StereoFresh: Elani, Rayvanny and Patoranking set the mood for love this V-Day

The month of love has inspired musicians to release some new music, and this season’s releases are exceptionally lovely.

Elani – Joto

The wonderful trio Maureen Kunga, Brian Chweya and Wambui Ngugi of Elani are back with another ballad. The track dubbed “Joto” is part of their recent album ‘Colours of Love’. The track went viral, garnering more than 90K views since its release on February 9th, 2020. The track is part of the acclaimed album that featured the threesome take their fans on a musical journey of love. Speaking to The Sauce during a prior interview, the group shared the “album is centered on a couple who go through various phases of love.” “Joto” is part of the more loving phases of the relationship, a perfect track for Valentine’s Day.

Rayvanny  feat Messias Maricoa- Teamo

When you think of Bongo ballads, Ravanny will always feature on the list. The Wasafi signee has remained consistent with new music and in the new decade, he does not disappoint. The father of one has teamed up with Mozambiquean artist Messias Maricoa for “Teamo”, a sultry tune that tugs at the heartstrings. Incorporating Portuguese into the track, the overall audio is an outstanding serenade. However, it is shocking how similar the shoot location is eerily similar to Diamond’s “The One“.

He has also released several tracks as part of a Valentine’s Special with Good & Classic Music. Some of the tracks included in the special project include a collab with Mr. Blue “Mama La Mama,” as well as “One” with Karen.

Patoranking – I’m In Love

Naija loverboy Patoranking has released something for the lovers, a day before Valentine’s Day. The track, “I’m In Love” is a sweet track that sees Patoranking declare his love for his woman. The track is happy and light but lacks real substance, so if you enjoy an easy listen this might just be for you.

What song are you bumping to this Valentine’s Day?
