Sol Generation’s fast-rising Nviiri dropped ‘Overdose’ and the #OverdoseChallenge has gone viral

Fast-rising Kenyan musician Nviiri the Storyteller has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Overdose’.

According to Mdundo, a few hours after being released, the song has created a buzz on social media with many appreciating Nviiri’s lyrical prowess. In the song, he narrates how he is addicted to the love of his life. “I think I’m addicted, sasa nacheza defense, everyone is my witness Nimeshindwa kukuachilia I think I’m addicted, sasa nacheza defense, everyone is my witness Nimeshindwa kukuachilia…. Ohh my nime overdose, Oh oh oh overdose, Ohh my amenijaza mapenzi,” part of the lyrics read in part.

The track was released on September 2nd and has since garnered over 89,ooo views. With many appreciating Nviiri’s lyricism and vocal talent, the track has gone viral trending in the top ten on YouTube.

The track is an instant hit, its no wonder that an #OverdoseChallenge has sprung up on the internet. So far, Sauti Sol’s Chimano and Bien are leading the charge.

‘Overdose’ is Nviiri’s second single under Sol Generation Records. His first song, Pombe Sigara, was released two months ago and managed over 800,000 views on YouTube.
