Mental health is all about how people think, feel, and behave. Taking care of our mental health as a Gen Z is a hard task since most of the things are involved around the social environment and can drag us down.
Most of us, go through so many things and don’t know how to solve them. Here are some ways that help promoting mental health.
Getting enough rest
Sleep isn’t just a nonnegotiable for physical health. It also plays an essential role in mental health. Sleeping for 6 hours or even 7 hours and sticking to the sleeping schedule, avoid stimulating activities before bed, and practice relaxation techniques to promote better sleep.
Reducing time on social media
Constantly being on social media can cause someone to compare themselves and promote feelings of low self-worth, which increases feelings of anxiety and depression.
Strengthening your relationships
Communicating about the problems/issues you are going through enhances your mental health. Such ways are: Taking walks, spending quality time.
Set goals and maintain a sense of purpose
Set realistic and achievable goals that align with your values and interests. Having a sense of purpose can contribute to feelings of fulfillment, motivation, and overall well-being.
Practice gratitude and positivity
Cultivate a mindset of gratitude by regularly acknowledging and appreciating the positive aspects of your life. Practice positive self-talk and focus on your strengths and accomplishments.
Educate yourself about mental health
Learn about mental health conditions, symptoms, and available resources. This knowledge can help you better understand your own mental health and provide support to others.
