Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee, 33, and her American actor fiancé Rotimi, 32, just announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The lovebirds posted breathtakingly beautiful pictures of a maternity shoot to break the news.
Fans on the other hand have long suspected that the celeb couple are pregnant and even pointed clues in their pictures on Instagram.
In the first picture, Mdee dons a pink high-low dress with Rotimi cradling her visibly protuberant bump. “The greatest gift of all, THANK YOU JESUS for choosing us – it is a true true honor. We are overjoyed.
Isaiah 55:2 – All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children,” she captioned the picture. On the other hand, the In My Bed posted the same picture and hails his lover’s beauty and being and wishes their newborn take up her qualities: “My greatest gift has been you. You changed my life and now we are beautifully linked forever to raise a little us. I pray our son has your glow Your heart, Your mind, and your spirit. I will protect you and our son with everything I have!” he quips.
The pictures are from their exclusive interview with People Magazine. “We are super excited to welcome our son. As first-time parents, everything about this experience has been a brand-new challenge. We love it,” they told People. Mdee says she has a had a smooth pregnancy devoid of pain and sickness, save for ‘some funny food cravings and food aversions here and there.’
The two stars met at Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana and have been inseparable since. They would later get engaged on December 20, 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The pregnancy pictures are taken by renowned photographer Leslie Andrews.
The two are synonymous with posting loved-up pictures and videos of them on their social media. Constantly displaying their support for each other, the most recent case in point being last month when Rotimi dropped his All or Nothing album.
