Singer Bahati’s name has been on everyone’s lips this past week and he took to social media to address the ‘nation’.
The controversial singer has been in the headlines recently following his lavish valentine’s gifts to wife Diana Marua. As seen by The Sauce on the couple’s social media platforms last week, Bahati gifted the upcoming rapper a brand new Toyota Landcruiser Prado TX, a fully furnished 4 bedrooms mansion and a piece of land to mark this year’s Valentine’s day.
This expensive show of affection towards the mother of his child was met with savage criticism with many social media users questioning the source of his wealth and whether these gifts are real or fake.
So far, Bahati is said to have gifted the mother of two four cars and two houses among others that green-eyed fans can’t seemingly account for.
“He is a poor boy from Mathare slums, he can’t afford expensive mansion and cars, Bahati ana chase tu clout,” read a post.
The former gospel musician took to social media to address these claims saying that he is a young man from Mathare slums who has made it by the grace of God.
“To those who are doubting that God can bless a poor boy from the slums let me confirm this; yes, I am a boy from Mathare slums and to those that believe God can raise a man from poverty to glory may God do it for you too in Jesus name. The God who raised me is faithful to bless anyone,” posted Bahati on Instagram.
The Bahati’s are not the only celeb couples who are known to show off their lavish lifestyles and gifts especially on valentine’s day and other anniversaries on social media.
Bahati and Diana have a blended family consisting of two of their own children Majesty and Heaven as well as Mueni from a previous relationship and Morgan.
