Popular Kenyan singer Arrow Bwoy has called out the Nairobi County government over performance arrears.
The hitmaker claimed that he has yet to receive any payment for performing at the Nairobi Festival despite the event having taken place in December 2022.
He called on to the Nairobi County governor to take action in an Instagram story saying, “Dear our Governor Sakaja, mambo imechemka huku nje. Since we performed at Nairobi festival in December, we have not been paid,” he said.
He added that Homeboyz Agency who contracted him for the event, claim that they haven’t made the payments since the County government has yet to pay them as well.
“Governor Sakaja, you were once an artist. You know the struggles we go through as creatives. Kindly, huku nje maisha ni ngumu cheza Kama wewe,” he noted.
The annual Nairobi festival will be held every December to showcase and celebrate Nairobi.
