In February 2019, Sauti Sol officially launched their record label SolGeneration Records with their First signee, Bensoul, and his debut single ‘Lucy’.

Subsequent hits from the label include Nviiri the Storyteller’s ‘Pombe Sigara’ and the much-loved label anthem, ‘Extravaganza’ featuring the signees, artists under the development program and Sauti Sol.
To date, the label celebrates the success of current signed acts, Bensoul, Nviiri the Storyteller and Kakazini as well as being able to offer development and a platform to upcoming artists.
The SolGeneration Artist Development Program (SolADP) was created to provide training and preparation for new and upcoming artists. Some of the artists under the program in 2019 include Kaskazini (who later graduated and were officially signed by the label in November 2019), Crystal Asige, and Okello Max. In 2020, Sol Generation will be aiming to sign the labels very first female artist(s) and expanding in terms of regions, acts, and genre.
In celebration of the label’s first anniversary, Sol Generation will be partying in style on Saturday 29th February at Club40Forty.
This year has had a great start for Sauti Sol. According to a recent post on The Sauce, Sauti Sol has landed its first major record deal after more than a decade in the music industry.
